Background

“The Great Lakes Regional Transportation Operations Coalition (GLRTOC) is a partnership of Great Lakes agencies that collaborates on initiatives that improve cross-regional transportation operations in support of regional economic competitiveness and improved quality of life,” according to their website. I was hired update modernize the look, feel, and functionality of the GLRTOC website.

The Website

Before the redesign, the GLRTOC website was a static website that failed to effectively disseminate information to members and represent the modern image of the organization. After researching other coalitions’ websites and consulting with stakeholders, I designed a new, custom WordPress theme to meet their needs.

In addition, I also developed a document management system, secure member pages, and custom post types to extend the default WordPress functionality.
